Vintage Ties Get Their Groove on Etsy
As an avid necktie wearer (at one point having close to 75 ties I consistently rotated for wearing) it is important for me to find a tie that suits my personality, positively accents the rest of my clothing and is unique in its appearance. I have found that my personal favorites are aged 100% polyester ties that have been searched out and unearthed from thrift stores, dating back to the 1960's and 70's.
It saddens my soul that as I now make my regular thrift store visits I rarely find a decent tie. This post goes out to all those business men with astounding fashion sense, the Mormon missionaries who I partially blame for the lack of decent ties in my local thrift stores, and to any church going fellow who knows that the key to winning a woman's heart is directly proportionate to the percentage of polyester found within his tie.
